Martin Luther King (MLK) was born on January 15, 1929, and this past January we celebrated his birthday on the actual day, although this is not always the case. Martin Luther King Jr brought hope to minorities in America.  He brought justice, compassion, and truth. Martin Luther King Jr brought the power of his words in his famous speech, “I Have a Dream”. Sadly, on April 4 1968, Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated.  We celebrate Martin Luther King Jr life and accomplishments as an influential American civil rights leader.
