Are you trying to decide whether or not to get contacts? Does it sound ridiculous to put a piece of plastic in your eye? Between 7th grade and 10th grade, many people switch from glasses to contacts. Although contacts may seem hard to put in on the first day, you get the hang of it later on.

Well, don’t worry, soon you will know how to do it without even thinking about it. After a while you won’t even know that they are in.

The decision is hard at first. You’ll be so used to glasses that you won’t want to switch. But as soon as you get the first two contacts in, you’ll want them! You’ll no longer see the outline of the lenses around your eyes. At first, your eyes will sting, but then they adjust, so it will feel normal. Also, the day you get them, you can only have them on for a couple of hours because your eyes need to get used to a new layer on your eyes.

Trying to get them on for the first time is even harder. Whenever you get the contact close to your eye, you’ll blink. Eventually, you won’t blink, and they will fit perfectly. Then comes the hard part —  getting them out. You have to pinch on your eyeball and grab the contact. If done incorrectly, your eye will become red.

If you struggle when trying to get contacts in, don’t worry. Someone will be there to help you at the eye doctors. They will instruct on how to put contacts in and how to take them out. It may take you around and hour to get contacts in, but soon you’ll be able to do it in less than a minute!

If you are on the fence between glasses and contacts, try contacts! They are much better than glasses for many reasons! You will no longer need to clean your glasses or see an outline of the plastic lenses! Contacts are the way to go!
