As many of you know, our eighth grade cotillion is creeping closer. Many girls already have their dresses, and plans. However, one question remains still… will you be asked?

There is much controversy on if us eighth graders are going with a date, or in a group of friends. With friends, some say, you will have much more fun because you don’t have to stay with a date the whole night. You can hang out with a variety of people, and make interesting memories. This way, there will be many people in pictures to hide your face! On the other hand, with a date, you can go through the fun of matching with someone, and get to know the person better. You also will feel special to that one person, and won’t be a third wheel. We all know that feeling.

Anyway, we interviewed several students about who they were going with, and why:

“I’m just going with friends to have a good time. It’s mostly because then I don’t have to plan anything.” Says the SIS Viking‘s own Katie B.
